MDS no longer offering PLESK - Saturday, June 28, 2008

After several attempts to re-negotiate PARALLELS the renewal of licenses for PLESK we have failed to reach an agreement.
Therefore MDS will stop providing PLESK support or maintenance for all accounts hosted in the PLESK server.
We are been forced to shutdown this server on 7/1/2008.
If you are interested in MDS to keep hosting your site we will provide a new signup method for you to host your site under our brand new control panel HC7.
Please go to this SIGNUP URL and signup for your new account.
If you are an existing customer, your credit card will not be charged, we simply need all billing information in the new system.
Once you setup your new account and the website is created in HC7 we will take care of transferring the content.

If you are aliasing name servers:

with IPs:
"72.35.72.103" and "72.35.72.104"
Using your own name servers but using the IPs above listed.
You are to update your alias name server to the new IPs listed below:
Primary name Server = 72.35.94.16
Secondary name Server = 72.35.94.17
The old IPs will remain in working status to provide overlapping while propagation takes place so no downtime will be registered with any website while the change is effective.

NEW DATA CENTER PLANS - Tuesday, February 28, 2006
I am happy to announce that we will be opening a second datacenter facility.
The new facility is approximately 63,000 square feet and the building construction is the same as our current facility, it is rated to withstand a direct hit from a Category 5 hurricane. Other notable features include N+1 redundancy on all key infrastructure. This means that we have 3 UPS systems (total of 1.5MW), 3 generators (total of 3.6MW), and redundant power utility feeds from FPL. The generators are supplied by 20,000 gallons of fuel which can run the entire facility at full load for two weeks.
The building has fiber from many fiber providers, including BellSouth, AT&T, Sprint, MCI (UUNet), and TelCove. We are negotiating with other fiber providers to bring more fiber into the facility. We currently have multiple OC-192 fiber capacity coming into the datacenter.
As for bandwidth, we are directly connected to the NAP of the Americas in Miami. This allows us to choose bandwidth from many providers.
To handle all of this fiber connectivity and bandwidth, we have chosen two network equipment providers, Cisco and Force10. Two fully redundant Cisco GSR routers and two fully redundant Force10 routers will make up the edge and core of our network. The Cisco equipment gives us high optical density, and the Force10 equipment gives us a full Terabit core, which is necessary for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. All servers and collocation facilities will be connected directly to a multiple gigabit backbone.
After the new facility is online and during the course of the year, we will be bringing out some new dedicated products to fill out our product lines. Some of these are:
- A hosted backup solution
- Bare metal backup protection
- Load balanced server pairs
- Firewall and security services
- Managed services
